• Collaborate with Data Architects, Business Analysts, and infrastructure teams to optimize and maintain complex ETL processes for efficiently processing large volumes of data from different source systems;
• Ensure data quality, integration, and modeling within modern data-engineering architectures using SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL, DB2, and Oracle;
• Program with Python, Scala, or Java and use Git;
• Perform performance tuning and error analysis for complex graphs and processes to stabilize production operations;
• Contribute to projects involving Data Governance, Data Catalogs, and regulatory requirements such as DORA;
• Document and present technical solutions to internal and external stakeholders.

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, STEM, or a comparable field;
• Fluent German at C1 level and English;
• Willingness to travel as part of consulting work;
• Initial professional experience as a Data Engineer, Software Engineer, or in a similar field;
• Strong consulting skills and the ability to guide clients through complex technical projects;
• Experience in agile project environments and confident use of Jira, Confluence, or similar tools;
• Understanding of metadata management, Data Lineage, Catalogs, and Data Governance;
• Analytical thinking, strong quality orientation, and a structured approach to work;
• Ability to quickly and independently learn new, complex technologies;
• Entrepreneurial mindset with strong communication and teamwork skills for effective coordination with technical and business stakeholders;
• Nice to have: Batch and streaming processing, experience in regulated industries such as insurance, banking, or GKV, DORA/VAIT, Unix/Linux and shell scripting, Ab Initio, Collibra or Databricks, Azure/Microsoft Fabric/OneLake, IaC and CI/CD with Terraform and Azure DevOps, DEV/QS/PRD, graphical ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, DataStage, or SSIS.
