Data engineer for warehouse optimization

Looking for a Tableau Developer to support the design, development, and production implementation of the Impact Tracking dashboards for an enterprise warehouse optimization platform. The developer will build dashboards that track predicted vs. actual results for approved slotting recommendations, including walking distance reduction, labor hours saved, ROI, and estimated savings across PDCs. The role requires strong hands-on dashboard development capability along with the ability to troubleshoot end-to-end across data sources, semantic/data models, calculations, and embedded delivery into the web application.

• Design and develop Tableau dashboards for impact tracking, including walking distance, labor hours, man-hours reduced, ROI, and profit margin gains.
• Build PDC-level and cross-PDC views to support phased rollout from 4 to 8 to 12 PDCs.
• Develop the data model and calculations for predicted vs. actual comparisons and baseline vs. recommended-scenario comparisons.
• Build data readiness and lineage views (per-dataset health and PDC readiness status) for operations and analyst review.
• Integrate and embed Tableau dashboards into the web portal, including filters, parameters, and role-based access.
• Optimize dashboard performance and extract/refresh strategies against S3 / Redshift data sources.
• Incorporate business feedback through iterative fine-tuning, and support UAT, deployment, documentation, and handover.

• Strong hands-on experience with Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server / Cloud for enterprise dashboard development.
• Strong experience with calculated fields, LOD expressions, parameters, and dashboard actions.
• Strong SQL skills and experience connecting Tableau to Redshift or similar cloud data warehouses.
• Experience with dashboard performance tuning and extract/live connection strategies.
• Experience building KPI and ROI style executive and operational dashboards.
