Design and develop high-volume batch and streaming data ingestion pipelines and frameworks across AWS and GCP data platforms;
Conceive, code, and launch next-generation data ingestion and curation platforms;
Participate in requirements definition and system and data architecture discussions;
Technically lead and mentor junior engineers on software development and data engineering lifecycle best practices;
Collaborate with cross-functional agile teams of software engineers, data engineers, ML experts, Data Analysts, and others to build new product features.
требования
Strong experience in distributed systems, data engineering, software engineering, or similar fields;
Apply rigor and robustness to coding and design, with a thorough understanding of performance trade-offs;
Strong coding skills in a language such as Python, Java, or Scala;
Passion for building data platforms and willingness to pursue bold ideas and drive execution through completion;
Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including BigQuery, Teradata, MySQL, Postgres, and Cassandra;
Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, and Apache Spark;
Experience with Airflow or another orchestration tool;
In-depth experience dealing with, understanding, and troubleshooting ETL, data lineage, data leaking, data quality issues, and backfills;
Ability to independently drive and lead resolution, communication, and follow-ups;
Experience with batch and streaming data pipelines;
Experience in both software development and data engineering;
Experience with GCP or AWS Cloud technologies, especially for data processing at scale;
Experience designing, implementing, and supporting production services with tight SLAs;
Experience developing distributed applications with central logging, metrics, monitoring, and alerting tools such as Elasticsearch and Wavefront;
Clear understanding of testing methodologies, CI/CD, and other industry best practices;
Upper-Intermediate English;
Nice to have: strong coding skills in Python, experience with Google Data Streams, experience with Google Dataproc, experience with change data capture (CDC) technologies, experience with modern data warehouse technologies such as Delta Lake.
