data engineer for BI

The BI & Data Science team brings together professionals across Data Engineering, BI & Analytics, and Data Science. It develops a cloud data platform and supports data-driven decision-making through data ingestion, modelling, dashboards, visualisation, storytelling, reporting, and analytics.

• Develop and innovate the cloud data platform
• Work with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into useful datasets
• Enable KPI dashboards, advanced visualisation, data storytelling, business reporting, and analytics
• Involve stakeholders throughout development to ensure solutions meet their information and reporting needs
• Coordinate data ingestion and work with BI specialists to manage and develop the data model
• Monitor and safeguard data quality
• Manage data retention within the BI platform
• Act as a sparring partner for business stakeholders
• Advise the business on effective use of information
• Provide requested and proactive insights
• Develop and maintain data pipelines and datasets
• Support continuous improvement of the cloud data platform

• HBO-level education or equivalent working ability
• 5+ Years of professional experience in BI/Data Engineering
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Cloud Platform, Azure Data Factory, and Databricks
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
• Professional-level Dutch and English
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills
• Customer-oriented and accurate
• Comfortable working independently and taking responsibility
• Strong team player, willing to share knowledge and expertise
• Able to work effectively under pressure
