At K-LAGAN, we are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our team and lead the development, optimization, and scaling of our data platforms in Barcelona. You will be part of a high-impact analytical environment, designing robust pipelines and scalable data models.

• Build, maintain, and optimize highly scalable data ingestion and transformation flows from heterogeneous sources.
• Design dimensional models (star/snowflake), Lakehouse architectures, and staging data layers, ensuring high standards of Data Quality and governance (Row-Level Security).
• Work in Cloud environments (Azure Data Lake) and with large-scale processing engines such as Databricks, Apache Spark, and dbt.
• Write advanced queries, perform tuning, and maintain SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or modern DWH architectures.
• Write clean code using Python and SQL, ensuring version control (Git), automated testing, and deployments in CI/CD pipelines.
• Work in an international environment using Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), in close coordination with architects, analysts, and business teams.

• Established experience (+4 years) as a Data Engineer / Senior Data Engineer.
• Advanced command of SQL (SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and fluent development in Python (PySpark, Pandas).
• Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT processes and transformation/orchestration tools (dbt, Airflow, Spark).
• Experience with Cloud architectures (Azure Data Lake / Microsoft Fabric) and Big Data processing in Databricks.
• Advanced / fluent English (C1), both spoken and written (essential for daily contact with international teams).
• Residence in Barcelona.
• Autonomous, proactive, analytical profile with the ability to resolve incidents.
• Attention to technical detail and a Data-as-a-Product approach.
• Ability to work in distributed and international teams.

• Barcelona (hybrid arrangement: maximum 2 days in the office).
