Data Engineer

PwC Poland’s Digital& creates innovative applications and delivers data-driven insights by combining software engineering expertise with advanced data analysis, including GenAI applications. Its capabilities cover data science, UX design, business intelligence, data engineering, frontend and backend development, and cloud solutions across banking, insurance, retail, and other industries.

• Act as a Data Engineering SME on client projects and internal initiatives;
• Gather business requirements for data products and address them with technical solutions;
• Build cloud solutions using Microsoft Azure services, including Databricks, Data Lake Storage, Data Factory, Synapse, Cosmos DB and more;
• Design, implement and monitor cloud-based ETLs;
• Support GenAI use cases with data pipelines and relevant data structures, such as vector databases;
• Guide junior team members and review their code;
• Communicate regularly with project stakeholders.

• At least 2 years of relevant professional experience;
• Experience with cloud services for building high-performance data pipelines using Python, Spark and SQL;
• Experience processing large volumes of structured and semi-structured data;
• Strong communication skills;
• English at least B2, written and spoken;
• Fluency in Polish for internal communication;
• Good knowledge of Python and SQL;
• Practical knowledge of version control with git;
• Familiarity with Scrum or other agile project management methodologies;
• Familiarity with Linux and bash scripting;
• Nice to have: Experience with GenAI applications as a user and developer, familiarity with Data Governance topics including data quality assurance, data lineage, versioning, cataloging and privacy, solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and experience in data modeling.
