Data Engineer

• Work at the intersection of infrastructure, software, and data;
• Design, develop, and maintain data-driven solutions;
• Analyze client needs and help translate them into technical solutions using data-related technologies, including Databricks, Snowflake, and Apache Spark;
• Collaborate with senior engineers to design and improve data pipelines, architectures, and data models;
• Participate in team and training sessions to improve skills and contribute to the development of the data engineering capability;
• Develop data-driven solutions for projects such as identifying trends in financial data and building efficient data models with clients;
• Help convert data into actionable insights, modernize infrastructures, and support organizations in becoming more data-driven;
• Deliver projects on time and according to high quality standards.

• Completed technical university Master’s degree, such as Computer Science, Information Science, Software Engineering, or another master’s degree with a strong technical component;
• Basic knowledge of or experience with designing and implementing data pipelines, preferably using tools and frameworks such as Apache Spark, Apache Airflow, or comparable ETL technologies;
• Good understanding of logical and physical data models for representing business processes and enabling efficient data storage and retrieval;
• Experience with a programming language such as Python, a good foundation in SQL, and/or experience with data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark (PySpark);
• Ability to collaborate effectively with clients and internal colleagues;
• Ability to structure problems, develop solutions, and implement them;
• Strong sense of responsibility, ambition, and willingness to learn;
• Excellent command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written;
• Nice to have: Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
