Data Engineer

• Design and develop high-quality code within Databricks using PySpark and SQL to meet business requirements for media campaign data;
• Assemble and prepare large, complex datasets from social media sources;
• Partner with data asset managers, architects, and development leads to ensure technical solutions align with architectural blueprints;
• Contribute to and leverage established coding standards and best practices;
• Collaborate with front-end teams to ensure seamless data delivery and integration;
• Apply development practices and adhere to architectural designs on Google Cloud Platform;
• Identify and define infrastructure revamp initiatives to reduce technical debt;
• Deliver data engineering projects within a Scrum team;
• Provide L3 support for existing data processes, including bug and incident analysis;
• Design and implement process improvements to automate backend operations;
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation.

• Strong proficiency in PySpark for data processing and transformation;
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, including cluster management and job scheduling;
• Advanced SQL skills for complex data manipulation and performance tuning;
• Demonstrable experience with Google Cloud Platform services such as BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Dataflow;
• Solid experience in designing and optimizing ETL/ELT processes;
• Understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and dimensional modeling techniques;
• Clear understanding of data integration patterns and data lake architectures;
• Nice to have: Experience with social media data integration, experience with Databricks Workflow management or orchestration tools like Airflow.
