Data engineer

• You will be responsible for the development and execution of projects with a team, ensuring that all project phases are completed, from requirements gathering through to production deployment. This includes technical-functional definition, ETL development and data modeling, and visualization.
• Take part in developing end-to-end data engineering solutions, from understanding the problem and business objectives to building fully production-ready data systems.
• Act as a technical reference for the processes and architectures developed to carry out the design phases.
• Take part in functional definition and analysis in collaboration with the client, ensuring solutions are tailored to their needs.
• Work day to day with on-premise or cloud tools, ingesting, modeling and transforming data, as well as applying engineering best practices within the team.
• Provide internal and external training on tools relevant to the team, and identify training and certifications needed for the team's growth.
• Stay up to date with the latest technology trends, with a special focus on Data & Analytics, particularly cloud platforms, orchestration tools and modern data architectures.
• Integrate into SDG's culture and its business unit, contributing to a collaborative and efficient environment.
• Take part in the company's and team's day-to-day activities.

• Degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Industrial Engineering, or a Higher Vocational Training qualification or similar.
• At least 4 years of experience in a Data Engineer role, implementing and putting into production data ingestion and transformation solutions using on-premise or cloud tools.
• Communication and analytical skills, with a business orientation, to understand project context and help our clients make decisions. A proactive and participative attitude is important.
• Proven project management, teamwork and adaptability skills for changing environments.
• Strong knowledge of Data & Analytics technologies, with proven experience developing with SQL and ETL technologies.
• Knowledge of data modeling, with particular importance placed on adapting to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google).
• Knowledge of at least one of the Data Cloud platforms: Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift and/or Fabric.
• Будет плюсом: Additional training in Big Data, cloud data architectures or related disciplines will be valued; Previous experience in consulting environments is valued, as is the ability to understand client dynamics and needs; Experience with orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow or similar is valued; Knowledge of data integration tools such as dbt, Talend, etc. is valued; Knowledge of code management methodologies is valued; It will be a plus if you can communicate in English!
