Data engineer

We are looking for a Senior SAS Engineer to join our team in Lisbon (hybrid work model). This role requires strong hands-on experience with SAS, PowerCenter, and SAP BO , as well as a solid background in designing, implementing, and optimizing scalable data solutions.

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration solutions across Data Warehouses and Data Lakes.
• Develop and optimize data processing workflows using SAS and PowerCenter.
• Work with SAP BO for reporting and Business Intelligence solutions.
• Implement and manage batch and real-time data ingestion pipelines.
• Ensure data quality, performance, and governance across data platforms.
• Collaborate with IT and business teams to deliver reliable and scalable data solutions.

• Academic background in Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Management, or a related field.
• Proven professional experience as a Data Engineer, with strong hands-on expertise in SAS.
• Experience with PowerCenter and SAP BO.
• Solid knowledge of SQL / T-SQL, ETL/ELT, data modelling, and Data Warehousing concepts.
• Hands-on experience with data platforms, pipelines, and large-scale data environments.
• Experience with Shell scripting and/or other automation tools.
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and technical and business stakeholders.
• Fluent English and Portuguese, both spoken and written.
