Data engineer

At Brighting, we're expanding our global Data & Analytics capabilities for one of the world's leading international retail and omnichannel organizations. We're looking for a Senior Data Engineer who enjoys building modern cloud data platforms, optimizing large-scale data ingestion, and designing reliable, scalable data pipelines. • Design, build, and optimize scalable ELT/ETL pipelines
• Improve data ingestion from SAP HANA into Snowflake (WE ARE NOT BUILDING FEATURES IN SAP)
• Modernize legacy SnowSQL pipelines using DBT
• Improve data quality, validation, observability, and reliability
• Build cloud-native data processing solutions
• Collaborate with architects and data integration specialists on enterprise-scale solutions
• Help evolve a modern data platform supporting analytics across multiple business domains
• Design and build data lakehouses and data warehouse solutions in collaboration with data analysts and other stakeholders that will help them achieve business goals

• Strong experience with Snowflake
• Excellent SQL skills
• Hands-on experience with DBT
• Strong Python development skills
• Experience building scalable ELT/ETL pipelines
• Experience working with cloud-native data platforms
• CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code mindset
• Experience integrating data from enterprise source systems such as SAP HANA
• You should be comfortable working with data originating from SAP HANA, understanding its data structures, and integrating that data into modern cloud data platforms, but no SAP development or ABAP experience is required.
