Data engineer

For inovex, we are looking for a Senior Data Engineer (m/f/d) specializing in Microsoft Fabric to take technical responsibility for demanding customer projects and develop modern data platforms for data-driven services and AI applications.

• Professional and technical responsibility for demanding customer projects
• Design and implementation of modern, scalable data platforms
• Development of high-performance ETL/ELT pipelines with Python and T-SQL
• Migration of existing on-premises architectures and data warehouses to Microsoft Fabric
• Building and structuring lakehouses and data services
• Integration of heterogeneous data sources
• Deployment of machine learning models
• Development of robust and maintainable data architectures
• Technical consulting for customers on feasibility and implementation
• Collaboration in agile, cross-functional teams
• Knowledge sharing and support for less experienced colleagues

• 5–7 years of professional experience in data engineering / machine learning
• At least 2 years of experience in the Microsoft Fabric / Azure environment
• Very good knowledge of Microsoft Fabric and Azure
• Experience with lakehouses, dataflows, data pipelines, OneLake, and Delta Lake
• Confident use of Python and T-SQL
• Experience with production data platforms and distributed data services
• Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and cloud architectures
• Customer-focused communication and consulting on an equal footing
• Pragmatic, independent, and solution-oriented approach to work
• Very good German skills (C1) and good English skills (B2)
• Completed degree, ideally in a STEM field
