Data & AI engineer for analytics

As a Senior Data & AI Engineer, you design data-driven solutions across the entire lifecycle—from integration, transformation and quality assurance to delivery for analytics, reporting and AI use cases. You work in an interdisciplinary environment on a range of projects and contribute to the development of modern data and AI landscapes.

• Take responsibility for data solutions throughout their lifecycle, including integration, operations, further development, orchestration, scheduling and monitoring (on-premises and cloud).
• Use GenAI to support development, documentation and testing, and integrate agentic AI approaches while taking security and practical value into account.
• Design and implement scalable data architectures using common cloud platforms and technologies (e.g. lakehouse, batch and stream processing, modern data stack).
• Develop high-performance data models and data pipelines using SQL, and ensure data quality, monitoring, cost control and governance requirements.
• Collaborate with customers and interdisciplinary teams, including facilitating workshops, creating prototypes, and supporting proposal and implementation phases.

• Experience building and operating data platforms and pipelines in a project or consulting environment.
• Knowledge of at least one cloud or data platform (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks, Snowflake) and the modern data stack (e.g. dbt, Airflow).
• Programming skills (e.g. Python and SQL) and experience in data modeling, ETL/ELT and streaming methods, version control (Git) and CI/CD; knowledge of data quality, monitoring, cost control, security and governance.
• Experience developing and integrating data solutions, including testing, documentation and the use of modern AI approaches (e.g. agentic AI) in data workflows.
• Knowledge of requirements analysis, conducting workshops and audience-appropriate communication; a completed degree in a STEM field or equivalent professional experience, as well as fluent German and English.
