Computer vision engineer in industrial inspection

Isembard is building a network of high-performance factories for critical industries. We combine advanced machine tools, robotics and our own software, MasonOS, to make precision components for aerospace, defence, energy and frontier technology companies, with factories across the UK, US, Germany and France. Our mission is to forge industrial acceleration.

• Design and build the vision inspection cell: cameras, optics, lighting, fixturing and software.
• Develop computer vision and machine learning models to inspect machined parts.
• Build the data pipeline behind them: capture, labelling, training and evaluation.
• Validate results against conventional measurement, and agree with the quality team where vision can be trusted.
• Integrate the cell with MasonOS so results feed the factory's records.
• Deploy and maintain the system in production, designed for repeat deployment.

• Strong computer vision and machine learning engineering experience, with models deployed in the real world rather than only in research.
• Proficiency in Python; C++ is useful.
• Hands-on experience with cameras, optics or imaging hardware.
• An engineer's approach: comfortable building hardware and software together.
• Comfort working on a live factory floor, close to the machinists and inspectors who will use what you build.
• Будет плюсом: Industrial inspection or metrology; Robotics; Experience in a manufacturing environment or a startup

• Lead the first in-house project of a new robotics team.
• See your work running on a live factory floor.
