N26 is a digital bank building a global banking platform for the digital world. It provides branchless banking, an elegant digital experience, and transparent savings through technology and design.

• Design and own end-to-end solutions, including the architecture and implementation of highly available, high-performance backend services and platform components from concept through production;
• Build tools and automation engines for threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management at scale;
• Act as a technical partner to organizational teams by building shared infrastructure and automation;
• Maintain high standards for code quality, distributed systems and Domain-Driven Design architectures, automated testing, and platform reliability;
• Own the full lifecycle of services using modern CI/CD practices and Infrastructure as Code for resilient cloud production deployments.

• 5+ Years of experience building production-grade software applications and managing complex backend architectures in large-scale production systems;
• Experience with software development best practices, distributed systems, Domain-Driven Design, and testing frameworks;
• Experience with cloud architectures, preferably AWS, and containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes;
• Commitment to clean code, comprehensive testing strategies, system scalability, and secure, performant services;
• Full professional proficiency in English with excellent communication and documentation skills;
• Proven ability to work effectively in small, autonomous teams with a strong bias for action;
• Ability to give and receive open, direct, and timely feedback, help others succeed, and challenge the status quo;
• Nice to have: SRE or security automation experience, event streaming platforms such as Apache Kafka, Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, data engineering pipelines and automated workflows, Java or Kotlin and Spring Boot.
