The company operates the largest B2C network for digital fuelling in Europe, facilitating in-app and in-car payments at petrol stations across the continent. The platform utilizes an event-driven, microservice-based architecture.

• Integrate new cashier systems and external platforms into an event-driven microservice architecture;
• Evolve the existing architecture using Node.js (TypeScript), Docker, PostgreSQL, and Kafka;
• Ensure seamless, reliable, and fault-tolerant communication between internal systems and external platforms;
• Develop and optimize algorithms for efficient data parsing and serialization;
• Identify and resolve issues in data transformation to enhance system performance;
• Write clean, maintainable code to ensure long-term platform quality;
• Work in cross-functional agile teams with end-to-end ownership.

• Several years of hands-on backend development experience, preferably with Node.js/TypeScript;
• Proficiency in designing scalable, high-performance distributed systems including load balancing, caching, and database optimization;
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to own problems end to end;
• Good written English;
• Nice to have: experience with payment processing or PCI-DSS standards.
