Backend engineer kotlin in healthcare

Our client, a scale-up in the healthcare sector, is strengthening its team for the German market. They are looking for a freelance Senior Backend Engineer (m/f/d) to take responsibility for integrations between the platform and software used by partners in the medical and care sectors.

• Design, develop and further develop interfaces between the platform and partners' software.
• Build a scalable, future-proof REST API intended to become the standard for partners.
• Design well-considered data models that connect complex and heterogeneous systems.
• Take end-to-end responsibility for integrations, from initial design through go-live and further development.
• Coordinate directly with partners and customers in German.

• Several years of experience in backend development and API integrations, ideally with third-party systems.
• Very good knowledge of Kotlin in production use.
• In-depth experience designing and developing REST APIs.
• Fluent German (C1) is mandatory.
• Willingness to travel to Berlin occasionally; travel expenses are covered by the client.
• Work authorization for Germany, France or the United Kingdom.
