• Architect, design, develop, and deploy Bolt's growing backend systems;
• Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to design scalable backend systems and APIs;
• Help lead features and initiatives from idea to execution;
• Work closely with Product to define scope and deliver incrementally;
• Contribute ideas and constructive feedback to the product development roadmap;
• Share knowledge through tech talks and promote engineering best practices inside and outside the team.

• Thrive in fast-paced, customer-feedback-driven environments and demonstrate empathy for end-users;
• Make data-driven, metric-based decisions and lead initiatives through completion;
• Have expertise in microservice architecture, API design, and distributed high-volume systems;
• Follow strong principles for writing clean, secure, maintainable, readable, and testable code;
• Have experience with cloud systems such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud;
• Have experience with relational databases;
• Nice to have: familiarity with real-time and asynchronous systems, highly available infrastructure.
