• Build and support a particular part of Monzo;
• Collaborate across disciplines to test hypotheses and improve customer outcomes;
• Work in a squad alongside product managers, marketers, user researchers, designers, mobile engineers, web engineers, data analysts, business analysts, and writers;
• Work with distributed systems and write resilient software.

• Strong experience working on the backend of a technology product;
• Product mindset with a focus on customer outcomes and data-informed decisions;
• Comfortable working in a team that deals with ambiguity;
• Interested in distributed systems and resilient software;
• Experience with strongly typed languages such as Go, Java, C, or Scala;
• No formal qualifications or degree requirements;
• Nice to have: Interest in building a product used every day and enthusiasm for the work Monzo is doing.
