CloudLinux develops Linux security products, including Imunify360, which protects millions of websites in the web hosting industry. Its email security product line provides inbound anti-spam filtering and an outbound SMTP gateway for hosting providers.

• Turn the product backlog into a sequenced engineering plan with estimates, dependencies, and a reliable release train;
• Run the team's weekly planning, release readiness, and status reporting cadence;
• Own engineering quality gates for model releases, including measured catch-rate and false-positive deltas and rollback paths;
• Keep technical debt visible and negotiate it into the roadmap;
• Report delivery status and risks to engineering leadership weekly, assigning an owner and due date to every item;
• Own the email stack architecture with the architecture group, review designs, write and approve ADRs, and make build-versus-buy decisions;
• Review critical-path code and designs for mail flow, rate limiting, quarantine, and authentication;
• Set standards for tests, observability, and safe rollouts;
• Own production health, including SLOs, alerting, capacity, and the deliverability posture of the sending infrastructure;
• Act as incident commander for product-impacting events, coordinate remediation, keep partners informed, and author post-mortems within 24 hours;
• Lead a distributed team through 1:1s, goal setting, performance reviews, and career development;
• Define profiles, run technical interviews, onboard, and mentor engineers;
• Set working agreements for asynchronous collaboration;
• Model and coach effective use of coding agents, including prompt specificity, review quality, tool-boundary awareness, context provision, iteration, error recovery, and end-to-end task completion;
• Extend agent-assisted development to model and rule pipelines;
• Own the delivery plan and technical risk for Product Owner priorities;
• Escalate scope-versus-capacity conflicts early in writing with at least two mitigation options;
• Own the release train and weekly status during the first 30 days;
• Trace inbound and outbound messages end to end through the stack and assess the team's strengths and gaps during the first 30 days;
• Own on-call and incident command, publish SLOs and the top three reliability risks with mitigations, and deliver a non-trivial change during the first 60 days;
• Present a technical roadmap for the email stack with debt reduction and staffing recommendations during the first 90 days.

• 5+ Years as a software engineer;
• 2+ Years leading a team of engineers in a product company;
• Strong Linux proficiency at a software engineer user level;
• Ability to read and review production code in a modern high-level programming language such as Python or Go;
• Experience debugging live systems on the box;
• Track record of shipping and operating a distributed backend service under real production load;
• Experience carrying a pager and running incidents;
• Experience mastering complex technical domains quickly and making credible architectural decisions;
• Practical fluency with observability and data tooling such as Grafana, Kibana/Elasticsearch, and Redash or equivalents;
• Demonstrated people leadership, including 1:1s, performance conversations, hiring, and growing engineers;
• Experience working in an agentic/AI-assisted development workflow;
• Understanding of ML-driven systems, including model quality evaluation, training, and production operations;
• Professional proficiency in English, written and spoken;
• Availability to work EU hours;
• Nice to have: Working knowledge of email infrastructure, experience with open-source mail stacks or the web hosting ecosystem, exposure to the ML model lifecycle, experience running incident and escalation management with external partners.
