Volkswagen Group Digital Solutions [Portugal] develops digital solutions for the mobility industry, including vehicle software and operations, mobile online services, IT security, fleet management, sales and after-sales, purchasing and logistics, and product portfolio management. The Configuration Processes & Applications team manages digital sales journeys for commercial vehicles, vehicle configurators across sales channels, and e-mobility applications.

• Develop, deploy and maintain cloud-native applications and infrastructure on AWS;
• Design and improve CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, quality assurance and reliable deployments;
• Support development teams in delivering secure, scalable and resilient solutions;
• Apply DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering principles to improve platform stability, scalability, observability and operational excellence;
• Monitor application performance, system health and service availability using modern monitoring and logging solutions;
• Investigate incidents, identify root causes and drive sustainable improvements;
• Contribute to infrastructure automation using Infrastructure-as-Code and scripting approaches;
• Collaborate with software engineers, architects, product owners and operations teams in an agile environment;
• Help establish and continuously improve operational processes, deployment strategies and platform governance;
• Participate in technical discussions and contribute to architectural and technology decisions.

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a comparable qualification;
• Professional experience in software engineering, DevOps, cloud engineering or site reliability engineering;
• Experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-native environments;
• Experience operating and administering cloud infrastructure in production environments;
• Good understanding of CI/CD concepts and automation practices;
• Experience with Docker and containerised applications;
• Knowledge of Python, Java or similar programming languages;
• Experience with GitLab or comparable development and deployment toolchains;
• Understanding of monitoring, logging and observability concepts;
• Knowledge of security, identity management and access control solutions such as Azure AD, Entra ID or Keycloak;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Enjoyment of collaborative work in international and cross-functional teams;
• Good communication skills and professional proficiency in English;
• Nice to have: Experience administering AWS environments, including IAM, networking, monitoring and cost optimisation; Infrastructure as Code tools such as AWS CDK, CloudFormation or Terraform; Kubernetes or container orchestration platforms; frontend technologies such as React, Angular or JavaScript; sales, configuration or e-commerce platforms; automotive or large-scale enterprise environments.
