backend developer for a high-traffic media platform

An independent media company in Amsterdam brings publishing, technology, and events together. It reaches millions of people each month through sports and lifestyle brands and builds its platform in-house.

• Develop TypeScript services within the monorepo
• Optimize performance and ensure data flows through the system smoothly and reliably
• Make sure user data, content, and comments are processed accurately, quickly, and at scale
• Improve efficient data transfer and validation without increasing costs or complexity
• Work with frontend and DevOps to continuously improve the architecture
• Guide colleagues when needed

• At least 4 years of work experience with TypeScript and Node.js
• Knowledge of MySQL and Redis
• Familiarity with OpenAPI specifications and client generation
• Experience with Auth0 or Supertokens
• Able to speak English for daily collaboration and hold a normal conversation or presentation in Dutch
