Azure data engineer in lakehouse architecture

Our client are a global consultancy that are looking for a Senior Azure Data Engineer to join one of their clients on a full-time contract (8 hours per day, 5 days per week)

• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics, Apache Spark, Python, SQL, Delta Live Tables (DLT), and Unity Catalog.
• Proven ability to design, develop, and optimize scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, metadata-driven frameworks, and orchestration workflows, with expertise in data quality, performance tuning, CI/CD, Azure DevOps, infrastructure automation, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical skills, ownership, and adaptability in dynamic environments, with the ability to collaborate with architects and business stakeholders, ensure data governance and security, and communicate effectively in English (B2+).

• This position will be paying up to €32 per hour
• Full remote, must be based in the EU
• Initial contract 3-6 months with high likelihood of extension
• Must have right to work in the the EU without needing sponsorship
