Android developer in digital banking

Andersen is hiring a Junior Android Developer for a project developing a digital banking SuperApp and delivering secure, scalable mobile banking services, payment functionality, and seamless integrations. Our customer is a well-established financial institution offering a broad range of banking products and services to individual and corporate clients. The project is focused on developing and enhancing a digital banking SuperApp that integrates iOS and Android applications, backend services, banking products, and external systems.

• Developing and maintaining Android functionality for the SuperApp, including features related to external partner integrations.
• Integrating third-party APIs and services into the Android application.
• Implementing networking, authentication, data transformation, error handling, and integration-related business logic.
• Developing scalable and maintainable Android components in accordance with established architectural standards.
• Collaborating with backend developers to define and implement API contracts and integration flows.
• Writing unit and UI tests.
• Investigating and resolving functional, performance, and integration issues across different iOS versions and devices.
• Working closely with QA, Android, Java, DevOps, and product teams throughout the development lifecycle.

• Commercial experience in Android development using Kotlin for 1.5+ years.
• Experience working on banking, fintech, or other financial applications.
• Good knowledge of Kotlin, Android SDK, and core Jetpack components.
• Experience integrating mobile applications with REST APIs.
• Understanding of mobile application architecture (MVVM or similar).
• Understanding of asynchronous programming, networking, JSON serialization, and error handling.
• Experience with Git and basic knowledge of Gradle.
• Basic understanding of mobile security principles and secure data storage.
• Experience with unit testing and debugging.
• Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.
