AI engineer in SDLC automation

Join a team turning the technological transformation of Generali Insurance from an idea into something that really works in production, every day. In the Tech Transformation Office, we are building a team tasked with testing, building and setting standards for technologies the whole company will use tomorrow, with a special focus on AI, Microsoft Azure, automation and modern engineering practices. We are looking for a senior AI engineer with hands-on experience implementing AI solutions in production and the ability to turn new technology into a stable, secure and operational solution.

• Take proven ideas or technological challenges and turn them into functional solutions ready for production.
• Design, implement and integrate AI solutions in enterprise and production environments.
• Design and implement AI-driven automation of the entire SDLC process, using modern AI technologies, LLM models, intelligent agents, agent workflows, MCP servers and API integrations.
• Automate activities covering requirements analysis, code generation and refactoring, test creation and execution, code review, CI/CD, technical documentation and release processes.
• Develop and improve an AI Knowledge Base that gives agents access to relevant technical documentation, system architecture, business context and existing code.
• Develop initial business applications and reference implementations that other teams can use and scale further.
• Define approaches, standards, reusable components and work patterns that other teams can apply and develop further.
• Test solutions by assessing performance, security and resilience so they are ready for real production conditions.
• Ensure that solutions include the necessary controls and mechanisms for business continuity from the outset.
• Collaborate with operations teams so that solutions are well documented, transferred into everyday use and sustainable over the long term.
• Work closely with architects, Security and ITSM teams and contribute to decisions that enable secure, high-quality production deployment.

• A VII/1 degree in information technology, computer science, electrical engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience with complex enterprise platforms and production implementations.
• Practical experience developing and implementing AI solutions is required.
• Practical experience with GitHub Copilot and an AI-assisted software development approach.
• Experience applying AI technologies to automate and improve different phases of the SDLC, including developing and orchestrating AI agents, agent workflows, working with LLM models and MCP integrations.
• Knowledge of CI/CD process automation and tools such as GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps.
• Understanding of AI security and governance principles, including guardrails, access management and auditability.
• Practical knowledge of CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code and containers/orchestration approaches.
• Understanding of security-by-design principles, the SDLC and operational handover.
• Advanced level of English.
