AI engineer in aviation

At ASTEK Iberia, we are looking for an experienced Senior AI Software Engineer to join a leading international company in the aviation industry, contributing to innovative digital solutions within the aviation industry.

• Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable, and efficient AI-powered engineering capabilities, workflows, and reusable components.
• Develop integrations with AI models, developer tools, and software delivery platforms.
• Build reusable AI-enabled solutions that accelerate development productivity and adoption across engineering teams.
• Integrate engineering platforms and developer tools into a coherent AI-driven ecosystem.
• Define appropriate levels of automation, human oversight, and governance for AI-enabled workflows.
• Balance usability, reliability, security, cost, and performance when designing AI solutions.
• Develop production-ready, observable, and maintainable AI-enabled services.
• Implement testing, CI/CD, monitoring, logging, and operational best practices for AI solutions.
• Collaborate with platform, DevOps, security, and product teams to integrate AI capabilities into the software delivery lifecycle.
• Support engineering teams in adopting AI-assisted software development practices through documentation, reusable templates, and best practices.
• Gather user feedback and continuously improve AI capabilities based on adoption and engineering needs.
• Contribute to engineering standards, reusable patterns, and governance for AI-enabled software development.

• You have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• You have strong hands-on software engineering experience using languages such as Python, Java, or TypeScript.
• You have experience integrating LLMs, AI APIs, or agent frameworks into production systems.
• You understand prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Model Context Protocol (MCP), and AI agent concepts.
• You have experience with modern software engineering practices, including CI/CD, testing, containerization, and cloud-native development.
• You are able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional technical teams.
