AI engineer

We are looking for a hands-on Senior AI Engineer to design, develop and implement AI-powered solutions that address complex business challenges within Risk Management. In this role, you will bridge the gap between business requirements and innovative AI technologies, taking solutions from initial concepts and prototypes through to production. You will work closely with business stakeholders, software engineers and AI leadership to build scalable, reliable and impactful AI applications.

• Design, develop and deploy production-ready AI solutions that address real business challenges.
• Build and implement GenAI applications and intelligent agents to automate and improve business processes.
• Transform AI prompts and prototypes into robust, scalable and maintainable Python applications.
• Develop, optimise and maintain Retrieval-Augmented Generation pipelines.
• Design and implement AI solutions involving multiple collaborating agents.
• Develop and integrate machine learning solutions into business applications and workflows.
• Build and deploy AI applications using Microsoft Azure and related cloud services.
• Use Databricks to support AI engineering, data processing and solution development.
• Translate business requirements, domain knowledge and operational processes into effective technical solutions.
• Integrate AI applications into existing systems and workflows, ensuring scalability, reliability and quality.
• Align technical decisions, implementation approaches and delivery progress with AI leadership and relevant stakeholders.
• Contribute to improving AI engineering practices, solution quality and organisational AI capabilities.

• 3–5+ years of experience in AI Engineering, Software Engineering and/or Data Science.
• Strong hands-on experience developing Generative AI applications and AI agents.
• Demonstrable experience implementing machine learning solutions.
• Practical experience designing, developing and optimising RAG pipelines.
• Experience building scalable AI applications and multi-agent systems.
• Excellent Python programming skills.
• Practical experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Mandatory hands-on experience with Databricks.
• Experience taking AI solutions from prototype to production.
• Strong software engineering skills, including writing maintainable and scalable code.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into practical technical solutions.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Dutch language proficiency is required for the assignment.
