ux/ui designer for travel apps

TC Flights Germany operates fluege.de, one of Germany’s leading flight portals, as part of Tongcheng Travel, an international online travel distribution company. The platform enables customers to compare and book flights through a user-friendly and personalized experience.

• Design user-centered app experiences for fluege.de native iOS and Android apps, from concepts and user journeys to wireframes and final UI;
• Independently plan and conduct qualitative usability tests and quantitative A/B tests and UX KPI research;
• Derive concrete design improvements from research and testing results;
• Develop and maintain the design system with a focus on native app components, including variables, properties, modes, and platform-specific UI elements;
• Ensure smooth design handoffs through platform-specific specifications and annotations;
• Collaborate closely with iOS and Android development;
• Shape data-driven design decisions based on app analytics, user behavior, and business KPIs;
• Coordinate requirements, priorities, and user needs with Product, Development, and Marketing.

• Degree in UX, Interaction, or Digital Design, or equivalent professional experience;
• Proven experience designing native mobile applications for iOS and Android;
• Solid understanding of Apple HIG and Material Design 3;
• Confident use of Figma, including design systems and component libraries;
• Understanding of UX KPIs and app analytics, with experience deriving data-based design decisions;
• Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken;
• Nice to have: Knowledge of WCAG 2.1/2.2 and accessible app design, experience with agile methods, openness to or active use of AI-assisted design tools such as Figma AI, generative image tools, and prompt-based prototyping.
