ux/ui designer for flight portals

TC Flights Germany operates a successful flight portal in Germany and is part of Tongcheng Travel, an international company in online travel distribution. The company aims to become Germany’s first choice for comparing and booking flights while providing customers with a user-friendly and personalized booking experience.

• Conceptualize, build, and continuously develop a scalable multi-brand Design System for multiple flight portals, covering tokens, components, patterns, and complete documentation;
• Create, maintain, and structure Figma libraries with Design Tokens, variables, properties, modes, and reusable UI components for web, iOS, and Android;
• Collaborate closely with designers, developers, and Product Owners to further develop and establish the Design System across the company;
• Conceptualize and design web and app experiences based on user behavior, trends, and business goals;
• Create wireframes, prototypes, journey maps, interaction flows, and design assets;
• Define, apply, and evaluate UX KPIs and A/B tests to support informed decision-making;
• Plan, conduct, and analyze unmoderated user tests;
• Actively contribute to data-driven design and decision-making processes.

• Completed degree in UX, Interaction, or Digital Design, or equivalent professional experience;
• Proven experience building, maintaining, and establishing Design Systems in production environments;
• Very confident working with Figma, including a deep understanding of component libraries, variables, Auto Layout, and tokens;
• Experience collaborating with development teams and understanding the technical implementation of design tokens and components;
• Strong communication and moderation skills for acting as an internal advocate and contact person for the Design System;
• Very good German and English skills, written and spoken;
• Nice to have: Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1/2.2) and accessible design, experience with agile methodologies, openness to or active use of AI-supported design tools.
