UX/UI designer

We are looking for a Senior UX/UI Designer for an international organization based in Geneva, Switzerland, in a remote position. You will lead the design of accessible, user-centered digital experiences, with a strong focus on Figma, design systems, React, TypeScript and UI component libraries. You will develop and maintain a scalable design system and lead the UX/UI design of a Tools and Resources Marketplace, working with international stakeholders and engineering teams to deliver consistent, intuitive digital solutions.

• Lead UX/UI design and user research, gathering requirements from diverse international stakeholders and translating findings into user journeys, wireframes and interactive prototypes;
• Design, develop and govern a scalable design system, including visual standards, design tokens, reusable UI components and interaction patterns;
• Build and maintain Figma component libraries, including variables, auto-layout, component variants and responsive specifications;
• Work directly with developers to implement and maintain production-ready component libraries using React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, Storybook and Git;
• Define the information architecture, user flows and high-fidelity prototypes for a Tools and Resources Marketplace, including AI-assisted functionality;
• Establish accessibility, inclusive design and responsive design standards across digital products, resources and communication materials;
• Conduct design audits, usability testing and iterative improvements to enhance user experience and interface consistency;
• Document design specifications, establish governance and version-control processes, and support developer handover, training and long-term maintenance.

• Degree in UX/UI Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Digital Design or a related field, or equivalent demonstrated practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in UX/UI or service design across complex digital products, platforms or portals, supported by a strong portfolio.
• Expert proficiency in Figma, including component libraries, variables, auto-layout and interactive prototyping.
• Strong hands-on front-end development skills in React, TypeScript, utility-first CSS such as Tailwind, Storybook and Git-based workflows, sufficient to build and maintain production component libraries.
• Proven experience building, maintaining and governing design systems in production, including design tokens, component APIs, versioning and collaboration with engineering teams.
• Strong experience in user research, requirements gathering, information architecture, user journeys, wireframing and usability testing.
• Experience designing AI-assisted interfaces, including the presentation of generated content, confidence and provenance.
• Excellent facilitation, workshop design, stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including working with non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across international, multicultural and multidisciplinary teams in different time zones.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
