• Facilitate collaborative workshops with stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams to generate user-centered solutions;
• Build interactive, dynamic, and code-based prototypes to test hypotheses, iterate efficiently, and maximize value for money;
• Partner with user researchers to test core assumptions, manage design risks, and gather feedback through 1-to-1 engagements, co-design sessions, and consultations;
• Apply and contribute to GDS and departmental design components, patterns, and style guides;
• Document clear rationales when custom design patterns are required;
• Provide strategic direction on design tools and cross-channel methods;
• Guide team decision-making and keep design choices aligned with user needs.

• Proven experience using GDS and departmental design systems;
• Experience working with central government clients;
• Strong skills in dynamic and coded prototyping;
• Expertise in leading collaborative design workshops and stakeholder engagement;
• Deep understanding of agile delivery alongside BAs and developers to define MVP requirements;
• Strategic mindset with the ability to manage design risks, validate assumptions, and apply a robust digital approach to complex service design.

• Contract role for an initial 7 months.
