ux designer for football digital products

The Football Association shapes and supports football in England, including digital products and services across its Digital Technology portfolio.

• Work as a UX Designer within a cross-functional product team throughout the product lifecycle from discovery through delivery and continuous improvement;
• Lead discovery and problem-framing activities alongside Product and Research teams;
• Explore user needs, behaviours and opportunities and bring the voice of the customer into decision-making;
• Design end-to-end user experiences across journeys, including layouts, flows and interaction patterns;
• Explore, test and refine solutions through journey mapping, wireframing, prototyping, usability testing and user research;
• Collaborate with agile delivery teams to support implementation and ensure a high-quality user experience;
• Represent the Product Design practice within the product team;
• Ensure outputs meet FA design standards, align with design principles and follow accessibility guidelines and best practice;
• Execute additional tasks as required to meet the FA's changing priorities;
• Comply with company policies and procedures to maintain high standards of health, safety and well-being.

• Experience working on design projects across the full product lifecycle, from initial concept design to continuous improvement;
• Experience across different stages of the design process, including user research and UI design using design systems;
• Experience as a UX designer in cross-functional, agile product teams;
• Ability to collaborate with product managers, engineers, UX designers and UI designers;
• Strong curiosity about users and their needs and pain points;
• Problem-solving skills focused on meeting user needs and business objectives;
• Working knowledge of accessibility guidelines and standards;
• Strong communication skills for team collaboration and stakeholder presentations;
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in parallel and meet deadlines;
• Proficiency with Apple Mac;
• Strong working knowledge of Figma, Miro, user testing platforms and MS Office;
• Working knowledge of JIRA;
• Nice to have: continuous discovery techniques, AI-enabled design, research or prototyping tools, product metrics, analytics, behavioural data and design systems;
• A portfolio is required; applications without a portfolio or portfolio link may not be considered.
