product designer for vehicle repair platforms

Fixico is a fast-growing car damage repair platform that helps leasing companies, fleet and rental operators, and insurers manage vehicle repairs at scale across Europe.

• Own end-to-end design for the team’s domain, from early concept to engineering handoff, with a focus on interaction design and technical feasibility;
• Partner with frontend engineers, think in components, design with implementation in mind, and stay involved through the build;
• Design complex, multi-step flows for AI-native repair intake, partner dashboards, repair tracking, and SLA management across web and mobile;
• Build and maintain scalable components in the design system using Figma and Token Studio, mapped to an MUI-based component library;
• Turn company strategy into concrete design opportunities and solutions;
• Run regular user testing and apply insights to improve the work;
• Facilitate workshops with product, design, and engineering to drive alignment and momentum;
• Define and track outcome-based design metrics, such as usability scores and SUS;
• Mentor other designers and help grow a strong, collaborative design culture.

• 5+ Years of product design experience, ideally in a SaaS, marketplace, or platform scale-up;
• Strong systems thinking with a pragmatic approach to structuring complexity, designing for scale, making trade-offs, and shipping;
• Hands-on experience with design systems and component-based design;
• Fluent in Figma and component libraries;
• Strong interaction and UX skills;
• Understanding of frontend concepts including HTML, CSS, and component architecture;
• Experience using AI in the design process for rapid mockups, exploration, and daily work;
• Experience working in agile product teams and owning a domain end-to-end;
• Clear communication skills and confidence explaining decisions and pushing back when needed;
• Nice to have: familiarity with design tokens such as Token Studio, component libraries like MUI, reading frontend code, Jira, Miro, usability testing, and research methodologies.
