product designer for AI co-engineering

The company is building an AI co-engineer for physical products that works natively in 3D and learns from real engineering decisions. Its product is in production with major European manufacturers.

• Design how engineers work with AI agents in 3D, including briefing, steering, reviewing, and understanding agent work
• Connect AI to real engineering workflows by spending time with customers, understanding their work, testing ideas early, and using insights to inform product decisions
• Prototype new interaction models using Figma, code, or direct collaboration with engineers
• Drive product initiatives with founders and engineers by framing problems, facilitating decisions, and turning direction into executable projects and tasks
• Own interaction and visual quality, including the design system, while supporting experimentation

• Have shipped complex software products for expert users and be able to explain the decisions behind them
• Be comfortable with undefined problems, form independent opinions, push back, and create clarity
• Have strong product judgment and know when to research, prototype, polish, or ship
• Be comfortable working directly with customers and software engineers and learning unfamiliar domains quickly
• Have strong interaction and visual design skills and experience with Figma, code prototyping, and AI-assisted workflows
• Be fluent in German and English
