Senior Data Engineer for tax services

• Define and enforce best practices and coding standards across the project;
• Conduct code reviews to maintain high code quality;
• Work independently and collaboratively with the team;
• Communicate clear instructions to team members and help manage day-to-day operations;
• Communicate regularly with the client;
• Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable Spark applications;
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code;
• Optimize code for performance and scalability;
• Work with cross-functional teams to deliver software solutions;
• Identify and resolve technical issues;
• Create and maintain documentation for code, processes, and workflows.

• Hands-on experience in software development;
• Experience developing SQL stored procedures and migrating them into Spark SQL or PySpark environments;
• Expertise using PySpark on Databricks, including Delta tables, cluster management, and workflow automation;
• Experience optimizing Spark performance in production projects;
• Strong Python skills for complex data manipulation with Polars or Pandas;
• Understanding of columnar data storage formats, especially Parquet, and practical experience with Delta Tables;
• Expertise in data processing, analysis, and transformation workflows;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail;
• Practical approach to balancing standardized processes with flexibility;
• Understanding of microservices architecture and its implementation in scalable systems;
• Intermediate+ English;
• Nice to have: experience with Azure Cloud or other major cloud platforms, Service Bus, Data Lake, Blob Storage, Redis, FastAPI, Docker, Kubernetes.
