The Wellcome Trust is a global charitable foundation that improves health for everyone by funding science, leading policy and advocacy campaigns, and building partnerships. It plans to spend £16bn over the next ten years to 2032, funding discoveries in life, health, and wellbeing and tackling global challenges including mental health, infectious disease, and climate and health.

• Lead projects within workstreams and pieces of work within products;
• Provide technical leadership and mentor other team members, driving innovation, learning, and improvement;
• Develop dashboards, models, datasets, and AI-enabled analytical solutions that drive organisational value;
• Work with stakeholders and product/project teams to define requirements;
• Use qualitative and/or quantitative analysis to build easy-to-use data products, including analysis, models, AI-enabled solutions, dashboards, datasets, and infrastructure;
• Clearly communicate work and deliver robust insights and recommendations.

• Significant analytics experience working with large and complex datasets and using analytical and AI technologies such as SQL, Python, Tableau, R, Excel, and GitHub Copilot or equivalent to generate actionable insights;
• Strong data acumen and deep understanding of data structures, business data models, data quality, governance, and interpretation;
• Ability to translate data into meaningful business context;
• Proven project management skills delivering analytical projects through the full lifecycle, from problem definition and data acquisition to insight generation, implementation, and benefits realisation, while managing stakeholders and priorities;
• Excellent communication and data storytelling skills, including presenting complex findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences, influencing decision-making, and improving data literacy;
• Ability to use data and analytics to drive impact, influence decision-making, and identify opportunities to improve organisational performance.

• The role is permanent;
• Hybrid working requires three days in the Euston Road offices (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday); the remaining two days can be worked remotely or in the office;
• Flexible working options are available for all roles;
• First-stage interviews are online during the week commencing 12 October; second-stage interviews are in person during the week commencing 19 October 2026;
