We are looking for a Data Analyst – Data Lake to support data analysis, data preparation and analytical modelling activities within an enterprise Data Lake environment in the automotive industry.

The role involves analysing data from operational systems and the Data Lake, supporting data ingestion and transformation, developing analytical models, and preparing datasets and dashboards to address business needs.

The successful candidate will combine strong analytical skills with practical technical knowledge of SQL, Python and data platforms, working with business stakeholders, architects and analytics teams to deliver reliable, well-documented and validated data outputs.

• Analyse data from operational systems and the Data Lake to address business requirements and identify relevant insights.
• Prepare, transform and validate data using SQL, Python, R, Scala and other appropriate technologies.
• Design and maintain data preparation workflows and analytical processes using Dataiku.
• Support physical or virtual data ingestion into the Data Lake, including source identification, transformation rules, validation and ingestion controls.
• Develop analytical models aligned with business needs and document the underlying variables, business rules, assumptions and limitations.
• Perform ad hoc and exploratory data analyses using appropriate analytical and statistical methodologies.
• Develop dashboards or provide technical and functional specifications to support their implementation, using relevant BI tools.
• Define and validate business indicators, calculation rules, data sources and reconciliation criteria.
• Contribute to data quality assurance by validating datasets, identifying inconsistencies and supporting the investigation and remediation of data issues.
• Perform manual functional testing and document test scenarios, results and identified non-conformities.
• Maintain technical and functional documentation, ensuring traceability of data sources, transformations, analyses and validation results.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects and analytics teams to clarify requirements and ensure that delivered data outputs meet business expectations.
• Monitor the quality and consistency of deliverables, identify risks or dependencies, and support corrective actions where required.
• Work within an Agile delivery environment, using tools such as Jira, Confluence and Xray to support documentation, testing and traceability.
• Follow applicable data governance, security, confidentiality and data protection requirements.

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in data analysis or a related data-focused role.
• Good knowledge of SQL and experience using Python and/or Scala for data analysis and processing.
• Understanding of statistical methodologies and practical data analysis techniques.
• Experience working with data ingestion, data transformation and analytical modelling.
• Experience with at least one BI or dashboarding tool, such as Looker, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), Tableau, QlikView or Qlik Sense.
• General knowledge of cloud data platforms and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including relevant services such as BigQuery, Airflow and DataProc.
• Understanding of database concepts, data structures and data modelling principles.
• General knowledge of servers, operating systems, databases and networks.
• Experience with functional testing, data validation and documenting test results.
• Familiarity with Agile ways of working and tools such as Jira, Confluence and Xray.
• Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Intermediate English proficiency or higher.
