• Build and maintain the data models that drive data-driven decisions;
• Own and build dashboards;
• Add and maintain new data sources;
• Improve data quality through tested, documented models with clear lineage;
• Troubleshoot pipeline failures and keep ingestion healthy and fix data sources when upstream schemas change or tables are deprecated;
• Own where each key metric is sourced from, and maintain a single trusted definition for each;
• Work directly with stakeholders to ensure their reporting requirements are met and support self-serve reporting.

• Proven track record with 5+ years experience;
• Strong SQL, with real production experience in BigQuery or a comparable cloud warehouse;
• Demonstrated ability to model data, to take an ambiguous question and design clean, reusable, layered transformations, not just one-off queries;
• Hands-on experience with a managed ELT/transformation platform, such as Fivetran, Weld, dbt, or similar, and the discipline that comes with it including version control, testing, and lineage;
• Production experience building dashboards and reporting in a modern BI tool;
• Genuine fluency in SaaS metrics including ARR, activation, retention, churn, and cohorts, enough to speak the language of the business and spot when a number is wrong;
• Implement data quality strategies and governance frameworks across the organisation.
