Business analyst in Workday

We are currently supporting a leading global pharmaceutical organisation in their search for an experienced Workday Techno-Functional Business Analyst to join an ongoing technology and business transformation programme. This is an excellent opportunity for a Business Analyst with strong Workday experience to operate at the intersection of business requirements and technical delivery, working closely with stakeholders, technical teams and subject matter experts.

• Engage with business stakeholders to gather, analyse and document functional and non-functional requirements.
• Translate business needs into detailed technical requirements and solution specifications.
• Work closely with Workday SMEs, technical consultants and development teams to define appropriate solutions.
• Identify gaps between existing Workday capabilities and business requirements, recommending suitable improvements.
• Support the assessment of system integrations, data flows and configuration requirements.
• Facilitate workshops, stakeholder discussions and requirements validation sessions.
• Produce clear documentation, including business requirements, functional specifications, process maps and user stories.
• Support testing, UAT and solution validation to ensure successful delivery against agreed requirements.
• Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams throughout the project lifecycle.

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst or Techno-Functional Consultant working on Workday-related projects.
• Strong understanding of Workday functionality, ideally within Workday HCM.
• Demonstrable experience gathering business requirements and translating them into functional and technical specifications.
• Ability to identify technical dependencies, integration considerations and potential solution gaps.
• Experience collaborating with technical SMEs, developers and functional consultants.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and documentation skills.
• Experience working within Agile or hybrid project delivery environments.
• Professional fluency in English.
• Ability to work onsite in Lisbon three days per week.
