Business analyst in tax technology

KPMG Poland's Tax Technology team creates and implements innovative technological solutions supporting tax processes. Our web applications are key tools for KPMG tax teams and external clients in tax reporting and e-invoicing. We work with various KPMG teams to deliver solutions that meet changing business and regulatory needs. A new area for our team is transforming tax processes using artificial intelligence tools.

• Co-create technology products—from identifying user needs and discovery, through defining requirements and development direction, to implementing and validating the solution.
• Gather, analyze and model functional and non-functional requirements, manage the backlog and task prioritization, and prepare functional specifications, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Lead meetings and workshops with stakeholders at various organizational levels, and identify and analyze user needs, business processes and opportunities to automate them.
• Participate in projects related to the digitization of tax reporting and e-invoicing (including KSeF, JPK, ViDA), including analyzing regulatory changes and translating them into requirements, business logic and product backlogs.
• Analyze business scenarios related to issuing, receiving, validating and monitoring the status of electronic invoices, and work with tax experts on their implementation.
• Analyze and document integration requirements between systems, including clients' ERP systems, KSeF, workflow platforms and other Tax Technology solutions.
• Analyze data structures and business and technical messages (including XML, JSON), and collaborate on designing and testing API-based integrations.
• Work closely with the development team on creating and developing software using the Agile (DSDM) methodology, including clarifying requirements, setting priorities, supporting project decisions, analyzing the impact of changes and accepting functionality.
• Coordinate application testing, verify results, handle bugs and validate the solution with business users.
• Research, analyze documentation and data, model and optimize processes, and prepare and maintain project and technical documentation (including BPMN, UML and application screen designs).
• Coordinate the preparation of marketing and product materials and the creation and maintenance of intranet and internet websites.
• Work at the intersection of business, product and technology, and lead several projects in parallel with varying levels of complexity and priority.

• At least 2 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Business Analyst, Product Owner or in a similar role in a project/IT environment.
• Experience analyzing business needs, defining requirements and co-creating and developing technology products and solutions.
• Independence and proactivity in leading projects and product areas, with the ability to manage priorities effectively.
• Ability to identify missing information and actively obtain it, and to translate complex business needs into technical requirements.
• Very good verbal and written communication skills and experience working with business, IT and senior management representatives.
• Experience giving presentations and leading workshops, collaborating with project or product teams, and working in an Agile environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with process modeling tools (Enterprise Architect).
• Practical knowledge of BPMN and UML notation and Agile methodologies.
• Ability to define measurable objectives and expected outcomes for implemented solutions and monitor their achievement.
• Very good command of spoken and written English.
