The project is modernizing an existing COBOL-based mainframe legacy application by rebuilding it in Google Cloud. It includes enhancements based on a Data Vault architecture and translates insurance business processes and legacy system logic into structured requirements for a new data platform.

• Review and understand business and technical documentation for a COBOL-based mainframe legacy system;
• Analyze and translate insurance-specific business logic, particularly in Property & Casualty (P&C) / composite insurance, into actionable requirements for Data Engineers;
• Work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to validate business concepts, calculation logic, and requirements;
• Identify and map relevant business attributes from business concepts and requirements, DB2 source tables, data exports, and legacy data sources;
• Define and model attributes, business keys, and relationships in the Collibra data catalog;
• Develop, maintain, and govern an insurance-specific business glossary;
• Bridge business stakeholders and technical data teams to ensure requirements are accurately reflected in the target data model.

• Several years of experience as a Business Analyst, Requirements Engineer, Data Analyst, or in a similar role in an insurance or data transformation environment;
• Strong understanding of P&C / composite insurance processes and business logic;
• Experience with legacy systems; COBOL/mainframe environments and DB2 are ideal;
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into clear specifications for technical teams;
• Experience with data mapping, data modeling, business keys, and data relationships;
• Practical experience with Collibra or comparable data catalog / data governance platforms;
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with business and technical stakeholders;
• Structured, analytical, and detail-oriented approach to complex requirements.
