Business Analyst

Sparkassen Rating und Risikosysteme is the central provider of risk management solutions for the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe. It supports institutions with standardized solutions for risk measurement and management, regulatory bank management, sales, and data analytics.

• Analyze large datasets;
• Develop evaluations, models, and prototypes using SQL, Python, or R;
• Design data processing pipelines;
• Prepare results for Sparkassen management;
• Translate customer processes and needs into robust, sustainable data and IT concepts;
• Combine data analysis, programming, and solution design;
• Collaborate closely with business departments and users;
• Take ownership of subject-matter packages depending on experience;
• Develop toward independent project management and confident presentations to customers and expert committees.

• Completed degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering, business informatics, data science, or an equivalent practical background;
• Strong data analysis skills;
• Very good SQL;
• Programming experience in Python or R;
• Initial practical data experience through internships, working student roles, a thesis, or initial professional experience;
• Strong interest in customer dialogue and translating requirements into clear, implementable data and technology concepts;
• Curiosity and willingness to learn;
• Experience in project and requirements management;
• At Senior level, solid project experience and potentially experience providing subject-matter guidance to colleagues;
• Strong communication, professional presence, teamwork, pragmatic and independent working style, and motivation for continuous professional and technical development;
• Nice to have: Experience with common analytics and data processing packages, banking expertise.
