We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst who combines deep technical expertise with strong business analysis and business partner engagement skills. This role is ideal for someone who has a background in software development, database engineering, data analysis, or systems integration and is passionate about working directly with users to solve business problems.

The successful candidate will act as the bridge between business teams and technical delivery teams, translating business needs into practical, scalable solutions while bringing hands-on technical insight to the design, analysis, validation, and delivery of digital products and services.

This role requires the ability to independently analyse data, write queries, investigate system behaviour, validate technical designs, and support delivery teams with a detailed understanding of applications, integrations, APIs and databases.

Future Location Notice: This role will start in Sunbury, London. bp has announced a planned office move to Timber Square, London, with all positions currently advertised in Sunbury, including this one, expected to relocate around Q4 2027-Q1 2028. The Shipping Assurance function within BP Supply, Trading & Shipping (ST&S) is responsible for helping ensure that vessels, marine operations and associated marine entities meet BP's safety, risk management and operational standards before being approved to support BP business activities. The function operates as a key component of BP's marine assurance and licence-to-operate framework.
