QA engineer (manual) in fintech

This role is focused on backend-heavy testing, payment systems, and end-to-end quality ownership across critical financial flows. You will be responsible for the quality of backend, API-driven systems and web/UI applications, own test design and release testing, and work closely with Engineering and Product teams to improve product quality and strengthen release confidence.

• Analyze requirements and design test cases and test scenarios
• Perform functional, regression, UI, API, and exploratory testing
• Validate UI against design mockups (Figma) and requirements
• Execute end-to-end payment provider integration testing
• Own testing activities for features and releases, and provide quality sign-off
• Maintain and improve QA processes, testing strategies, and documentation
• Collaborate closely with Engineering and Product teams to improve product quality
• Triage bugs and prioritize them together with the team
• Investigate and debug complex production issues using logs and data
• Identify scenarios for automation and support the QA Automation team
• Core payment system flows
• API key lifecycle and onboarding processes
• Internal/external MID logic
• QA process improvements and test ownership

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in manual software testing
• Strong experience in the FinTech domain (must)
• Strong expertise in backend/API testing (Postman, Swagger)
• Strong knowledge of test design techniques (equivalence partitioning, boundary values, decision tables, state transitions)
• Experience with log analysis tools such as Grafana and Kibana
• Working knowledge of SQL for data validation
• Strong experience in UI testing of web applications (functional, usability, cross-browser and responsive testing)
• Hands-on experience with browser DevTools (network, console, local storage)
• Strong understanding of STLC, SDLC and QA processes
• Experience creating and maintaining test documentation (test plans, test cases, checklists, bug reports) and QA reporting
• Experience with test management and bug tracking tools (Jira or similar)
