qa engineer (manual) for AI-powered education

Magma Math is an EdTech company transforming math education through AI. Its platform converts handwritten solutions into digital insights, helping teachers focus on deeper learning and providing real-time visibility into student progress.

• Design, execute, and maintain manual test cases for APIs, external system integrations, and internal modules;
• Validate data consistency and integrity across APIs, databases, and user management workflows;
• Perform functional, regression, integration, exploratory, and localization testing for a web application;
• Develop, document, and execute test cases;
• Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools;
• Collaborate with QA team members, developers, and product teams to ensure test coverage and resolve issues;
• Validate fixes and retest resolved defects;
• Participate in requirement analysis and provide feedback on testability and usability;
• Contribute to automated test development.

• 3+ Years of commercial testing experience;
• Experience testing APIs using tools such as Postman or Swagger;
• Experience with mobile testing;
• Understanding of integration testing with third-party systems;
• Basic SQL knowledge and experience working with databases;
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and QA methodologies;
• Experience with test case management tools such as TestRail or Zephyr;
• Proactive attitude and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing startup environment;
• Experience working with AI tools and genuine interest in using AI in day-to-day work;
• Fluent English for communicating complex technical concepts;
• Comfortable discussing difficult problems, asking questions, and respectfully challenging ideas;
• Critical thinking and ability to identify edge cases before they become production issues;
• Nice to have: basic knowledge of automation frameworks and scripting languages.
