Zasta provides a tax app that enables German taxpayers to submit professional tax returns with support from real tax advisors. Its platform automates data retrieval from the tax authorities and is trusted by more than 2 million users.

• Develop and operate end-to-end automated tests focused on user flows across core processes, from app users and tax advisors to interactions between different systems;
• Use tools such as Playwright and go beyond standard solutions when tools reach their limits;
• Identify testing weaknesses in complex processes and challenge existing processes;
• Explore alternative approaches to testing, infrastructure, and CI/CD pipeline integration;
• Support Engineering and Product with testing tools.

• Several years of experience in test automation, especially end-to-end testing;
• Strong knowledge of Playwright or comparable frameworks such as Cypress or Selenium;
• Confident with TypeScript or JavaScript;
• Experience testing complex, distributed systems and understanding of end-to-end processes across multiple components;
• Ability to identify broken or inefficient processes and derive robust test strategies;
• Ability to balance clean test architecture with pragmatic implementation;
• Clear communication of technical and business topics and close collaboration with stakeholders;
• German at a proficient negotiating level (C2);
• Nice to have: Mobile testing experience, especially with native apps, automated mobile testing, experience with form-based applications, experience in regulated domains such as fintech or tax.

• A work permit for Germany is required.
