QA engineer (auto)

We would like to meet a QA Engineer (Java) for a project in Lisbon.

• Execute comprehensive manual and automated testing for Java-based applications.
• Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end (E2E) automated test cases and test suites.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and E2E testing to ensure software quality and reliability.
• Participate in test planning, test strategy definition, and test case design activities.
• Conduct hands-on API testing and validation, ensuring compliance with functional and technical requirements.
• Systematically document test execution results, defects, anomalies, and clear reproduction steps, including supporting evidence where applicable.
• Collaborate closely with development teams to reproduce reported issues, validate bug fixes, and ensure adequate regression coverage.
• Analyze Kubernetes pod logs and application diagnostics to support troubleshooting and root cause identification.
• Investigate and isolate issues by correlating application behaviour, logs, environments, and API interactions.
• Support debugging activities for Java applications and assist development teams in identifying and resolving technical issues.
• Maintain accurate test documentation and ensure traceability between requirements, test cases, execution results, and reported defects.
• Continuously improve testing processes, automation coverage, and quality assurance practices.
• Communicate testing progress, findings, and technical issues effectively with international, cross-functional teams.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Business Information Systems, or a related field.
• More than 4 years of experience in QA and Test Engineering, covering both manual and automated testing.
• Strong experience testing Java-based applications.
• Hands-on experience designing, developing, and maintaining automated end-to-end (E2E) tests.
• Strong knowledge of functional, regression, integration, and E2E testing methodologies.
• Experience in test planning, test case design, execution, and defect management.
• Strong API testing skills using industry-standard tools.
• Experience documenting test results, defects, anomalies, and detailed reproduction steps.
• Proven ability to collaborate with development teams to reproduce issues, validate bug fixes, and ensure regression coverage.
• Mid-level experience accessing, analysing, and troubleshooting Kubernetes pod logs and application diagnostics.
• Understanding of Java application debugging and root cause analysis.
• Ability to correlate application behaviour, logs, environments, and API interactions to identify and isolate issues.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Fluent in English (B2+ – mandatory, both spoken and written).
