Pensions project manager in financial services

In this role, you will act as a dedicated Project Manager responsible for driving the delivery of a complex pensions transformation programme. You will develop and maintain an integrated delivery plan, coordinate multiple workstreams and provide clear visibility of milestones, dependencies, risks and issues. You will bring structure and accountability to delivery, ensuring decisions are escalated at the right time and the programme remains on track against its objectives.

• You will work closely with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams, taking ownership of detailed project delivery within an environment that is evolving at pace.
• You will produce high-quality governance and reporting materials, manage activity and ensure interdependencies are understood and controlled.
• Manages a single project with specific, defined objectives, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Operates more tactically, focusing on day-to-day management of resources, schedules, and deliverables for their individual project.
• Primarily manages stakeholders related to their specific project, ensuring communication and expectations are clear for the project’s deliverables.
• Focuses on risks and issues specific to their project and works to mitigate them within the project’s scope.
• Manages resources for their individual project, ensuring that the project team has the necessary skills, tools, and time to complete the work.
• Focuses on managing the budget of their specific project, ensuring it is completed within the financial constraints.
• Manages changes that directly impact their specific project, including scope changes, timelines, or resource allocation adjustments.

• Pensions industry knowledge combined with demonstrable project management experience within a pensions environment.
• Experience delivering complex projects or transformation programmes from mobilisation through to implementation.
• Planning and delivery management skills, including milestones, dependencies, risks, issues and RAID management.
• Governance, reporting and senior stakeholder management capabilities.
• Working independently and through ambiguity, turning complex requirements into a clear and executable delivery plan.
• Будет плюсом: Delivering change within financial services, insurance or another highly regulated environment; Experience producing Steering Committee papers, executive reporting and programme governance materials; Project management qualification, such as PRINCE2, PMP, APM or an equivalent methodology-based qualification
