Consultant in chemicals and process industries

Roland Berger’s Chemicals & Process Industries team in Amsterdam advises major chemical companies on strategy, M&A, operations, technology and innovation. As the European chemical industry faces fundamental choices, demand for this advice is growing. The Senior Consultant / Project Manager strengthens the team and works directly with executives on decisions that will shape the future of the sector.

• In strategy projects, work on positioning, portfolio choices and scenarios, through to market entry in new value chains.
• In operating model projects, work on efficiency and on where capabilities such as R&D, sales and application labs are best located worldwide.
• In M&A, support industrial players reshaping their portfolios, in preparation for a transaction and during the integration afterwards.
• Take on substantial individual responsibility early, including in contact with board-level executives.
• Clearly define problems, substantiate solutions and present them convincingly.

• At least 4 years of experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy or business development in industry
• Background in the chemical industry or a closely related industrial sector
• Technical or science degree
• Experience presenting complex analyses to senior management
• International outlook
