Head of Finance

We’re looking for a hands-on finance leader to own and build our finance function as we scale. You’ll work side by side with our founders and leadership team on strategic decisions, while still rolling up your sleeves to get the foundations right. Legal research hasn’t changed much in decades. Lawyers still spend countless hours navigating fragmented sources, outdated systems, and complex databases just to find the information they need.

At Pandektes, we’re changing that.

Our ambition is to build the leading global platform for legal research and the largest AI-powered legal database. By combining artificial intelligence, intelligent search, and continuously updated legal sources, we’re redefining how legal knowledge is accessed, understood, analyzed, and applied.

Pandektes has raised more than €17.5 million and most recently closed a €13.5 million Series A round (October 2026) led by Alstin Capital, PROfounders and Scale Capital. Pandektes already serves more than 450 customers across Denmark, Germany and Switzerland.

You’ll be a key strategic leader at Pandektes, shaping our current financial setup and optimising it for scale.

We’re looking for a commercially minded finance leader who thrives in high-growth environments and understands what it takes to scale a company from early traction.

You will own and evolve the finance function end-to-end; from building scalable financial infrastructure to partnering closely with our CEO and board on strategic decisions. You’ll combine sharp financial thinking with hands-on execution, ensuring we have the insights, structure, and capital needed to scale responsibly and ambitiously.

As part of the leadership team you’ll play a key role in scaling Pandektes. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys both strategic finance and operational execution.

• Own and evolve Pandektes’ financial strategy, ensuring our financial setup scales with our growth ambitions
• Act as a strategic sparring partner to the CEO and leadership team on company-wide decisions
• Set up and continuously improve operational finance processes, systems, and controls
• Fully own business performance metrics, in particular providing insight into key SaaS indicators to drive business performance, support strategic decision-making and identify opportunities for profitable growth
• Own company-wide budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning
• Work with external partners on accounting, audits, compliance etc.

• Significant experience in high-growth startups or scale-ups, ideally in a VC- or PE-backed environment
• Proven track record leading or playing a central role in fundraising (Series A/B/C and beyond) and/or M&A processes
• Solid understanding of operational finance, including setting up finance functions from scratch or early stage
• Deep experience in excel modelling with a proven track record of delivering automation to manual and complicated processes
• Comfort in dealing with transactional level detail where required in advance of automation and process improvement
• Proven experience with budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn financial data into clear business insights
• You are comfortable with ambiguity and thrive in fast-moving environments
